Firm’s Partner and Senior Associate Conduct Training Sessions on Sexual Harassment & Workplace Bullying

On the 6th and 9th of January 2026, our Partner, Ms Janice Anne Leo, together with our Senior Associate, Ms Adrienne Sena, and Associate, Ms Athanasia Bartolome, conducted a series of training sessions on sexual harassment and workplace bullying organised by Asia OneHealthcare at the Subang Jaya Medical Centre.

The first training was tailored to the Senior Management Team, where it covered an overview of an employer’s legal responsibilities in preventing and addressing sexual harassment in the workplace. The session focused on statutory duties, a zero-tolerance approach, and the need to maintain a safe and respectful work environment.

The second training session was delivered to Heads of Departments, Human Resources and Legal teams, providing them with a practical understanding of workplace harassment including sexual harassment, bullying, and abusive conduct. It covered key definitions, real-world examples, and clear do’s and don’ts for identifying and preventing misconduct. The session also covered the appropriate approach in handling cases where harassment is alleged to have been committed by employees and external third parties.

Both sessions outlined the process for handling complaints, consequences of non-compliance, potential legal and reputational risks, and reporting avenues available to victims such as internal mechanisms, police reports, and the Tribunal under the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act 2022.

Overall, the training sessions reinforced the organisation’s commitment to a safe, respectful workplace and equipped them with effective responses to workplace harassment.
